Baoshihua Medical Group Being Certificated by Occupational Health and Safety Management System

Occupational Health and Safety Management

On November 10, Baoshihua Medical Group, including the group headquarters, Liaoning Baoshihua Corp and Panjin Liaoyou Baoshihua Hospital, has been certificated by the National Occupational Health and Safety Management System. This certification aims to bring the group’s overall occupational health and safety management to a new level, and ensure the overall situation of safe operation, by drawing upon the experiences summarized by the pilot units above.

The group leaders put high emphasis on safety management, put forward the idea of the leading role of the Group, promotion starting from pilot units, unified standards, strengthened supervision and effective management. The work of certification was carried out by Beijing Fangyuan Logo Certification Group Co., Ltd.

Since April, our group has started the preparation work for certification by inviting experts for guidance and learning from excellent safety management experience of PetroChina. The certification has been solidly implemented in Liaoyou Baoshihua Hospital, by closely integrating the characteristics of the hospital industry and sorting out the documents of safety system

Leaders of Liaoyou Baoshihua Hospital attached great importance to the certification work and gave full play of its leading role as certification pilot unit. Based on the original strong safety management and in accordance with the new requirements of the 2020 version of Occupational Health and Safety System, they have constantly polished documents in the system, filled all the gaps being identified, optimized the processes, upgraded the management, and ensured the effective implementation of all the documents related to Occupational Health System.

In August, experts were organized to carry out external audit work of the group and the hospital in the first stage concerning “occupational health and safety management system”. After four days of on-site and data review, a totol of 10 rectification opinions concerning the problems of this hospital were put forward. The hospital immediately implemented these rectification measures one by one in accordance with the requirements of experts. In the second stage of the external audit in October, the review experts conducted a serious and detailed re-examination and audit of the hospital management system according to the national standards through such ways as data review, listening to reports, on-site questions, and on-site inspection.

With the joint efforts of our group and the hospital, National Certification and Accreditation Administration Commission and the Fangyuan Logo Certification Group have confirmed that our group headquarters and Liaoyou Baoshihua Hospital meet the requirements of GB/T45001-2020/ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Requirements and User’s Guidance, thus certificate being successfully issued.

This system certification has played a key role in promoting and ensuring the safety management level of our group, reducing the risk of management and control, promoting continuous improvement, effectively improving the overall image of this hospital, and laying a good foundation for the safety development of our group as a whole.
